Terms of Service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
1. What PDFLite is
PDFLite provides free online tools (merge, compress, split, convert, rotate, protect and edit PDFs; remove image backgrounds) that run entirely in your browser. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
2. Free use
The tools are free for personal and commercial use. You may process your own documents and images without charge, and use the outputs (PDFs, PNGs) in your own work. Daily fair-use limits may apply to some tools (for example, the Edit PDF tool) to keep the service fast for everyone.
3. Your responsibility for your files
You are responsible for the files you process: make sure you have the right to use them, and keep your own backups. Because processing happens on your device, we cannot recover files for you.
4. No warranties
The tools are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep them accurate and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every output will be perfect for every file. Always check important documents before sharing or printing them.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the tools for anything unlawful, or to process content you have no right to use. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or misrepresent the service as your own.
6. Intellectual property
The PDFLite name, design, and tool implementations belong to us. The open-source libraries we build on remain under their own licenses. Nothing here transfers ownership of your files to us — your documents and images remain yours.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tools, including issues with processed files.
8. Changes
We may update these terms or the tools at any time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
